Like the 281.
What kind of wood is that, looks a bit like locust, but red instead of yellowish inside.
Nice way to use the noodles though .

Oregon has a Powermatch 20" .063 3/8s bar. Or you could get a 20" hardnose bar like I did.

A D009 (large Husky) mount pattern can be easily modified for Mac use so I would imagine it could go the other way around also..., with Mac having used .404 / .063 on many shorter bar applications. Should be no shortage of options there, though stud adapters may be required depending on what mounting slot width you're able to rustle up. D025 Stihl mount pattern may be an easier find in .404 / .063 and can also be adapted.

What are you trying to convert(sorry if I missed it), the tip to 3/8 so you can have an 063 setup.
You can run a 3003 stihl in 063 on there with an adapter on the studs.
If you get into the 28" or longer there are many options made by Oregon in 063, but it's a bit limited under 28 for a d009

Yes you are right. I moved down south towards the coast. Literally everything has sand embedded in it.

Nope, I've been running square grind. So I may have to drop back to a round for down here.

So both of us are right, you want to convert a 404 to a 3/8 and you want to run 404?
Semi is slower, but you make it up in filing time.

No sir I would like a 404 bar. Whether Its a 404 from factory or I have to get a 063 bar and put a 404 nose on it.

203RNDD009 for the bar
30855 for the .404 nose.

You'll have an extra 3/8s nose sprocket afterwards but it should all line up.
