I’ve come across conflicting data.

What is the displacement of a 445 xtorque?

No idea on running value. If its like the 61's with the 48mm open port head I wouldn't pay more than $100-ish

Funny you say this. View attachment 151759I went and took a peek at this 670 manual I just got.
I finally figured out my problem with that stinking 372. The ignition I was using was off an x-torq. Well for some reason it didn’t like it. I switched it to an standard one I had. Saw runs perfect now. It was about ready to go in the scrap heap.

Err, what? o_O

Can You translate that to Dolmar language, I am a foreigner in this thread?! ;)

Are You referring to the throttle lock?
If not, what other setting is there?
Lol...Yes the throttle lock for cold /warm starts.
The 181 (unless it has had a carb change) has a manual throttle lock as well as the pull out choke. The choke works on its own so you have to pull the trigger ...and hold that little plastic nub on the top of the back handle as you let go of the trigger. The trigger and presents leaver should remain in a new position if you have engaged "Hi Idle" (throttle lock).

OK, I know what we are talking about - my Sachs-Dolmar 105 & 108 have the manual throttle lock.

The 181SE fires up OK without the high idle though, do I really have to set it? o_O
I can try utilizing the high idle lock the next time I use her. ;)

Yea the 109-110-111-115 usually have the sort with the square button on top of the back handle and do the same job.
Its best to use it from cold ...its normal for most Husq saws to set the two things (choke and high idle) with just the pulling out of the choke .You will notice not using it when the saw fires and then you push the choke in to continue pulling for a running start. Husq like many had a manual split system in the early saws...same result as now, just a different way of getting there.

Comment quote:
Husqvarna 181SE , 8 tooth sprocket , 36" 3/8" .058" 115DL bar & chain setup, solid steel bar Iggesund Forest R2 ,chisel tooth round filed Carlton A2 chain , beech firewood log.

I know the saw is missing the chain brake - it is not my saw , I am merely looking her over and run her for troubleshooting purposes.

The saw still has some issues with the idle set bolt, it seems to loosen itself causing the issues seen in the second half of the video.
Yes, there is a spring under the bolt.
In the video idle is suddenly too low and the saw dies coming off wide open throttle (WOT), also idle is too low for the engine to fire back up even though it wants to - throttle lock to the rescue.
This is why I am running the saw more extensively, to identify issues!

The portrayed Husqvarna 181SE bucked up 3 equally large logs prior to the one show in the video.
The idle set bolt did not reveal itself as an issue point during those cuts and the 181SE always came down to a steady idle without stalling the engine (with can also be seen in the first half of the video).
