Which makes me wonder... Is it possible to install stuffers on the 359 crank to do a complete 357 conversion?? I'm thinking the 359 uses the same crank, or is at least the same stroke... Bore is the difference between the two...

Oh, here is my soon-to-arrive 359... It's ALMOST as nice as those!! LOL! :D:meparto:

This is a pretty clean 359 w/357 top end.

Not real impressive without the crank stuffers & no porting. Will fix that at some point... But does blow 200 psi. :)

So you feel the stuffers are important with the 357 jug? Fixing to build this one with an OEM 357 jug and was contemplating stuffers or not.

I would say if you want everything offered in gains by the 357 conversion, the stuffers should be included.

The stuffers decrease case capacity, and I'm no expert but my guesstimation says that decreased case capacity equals increased intake and transfer velocity. Which is something that should contribute to the way a 357 runs compared to a 359... when comparing both in stock config anyway...

I don't know these things well enough to say, but I think the only difference between a 359 and a 357, is the stuffers and P/C. The rest of the stuff seems to be the same part numbers. Again, I have no expertise....
Yes

Yes. I've done it both ways and the 357 jug needs the stuffers.

If I were to build one without stuffers I'd use the 359 jug, ported of course.

350 Husky that I was going to build into a 346 until Randy let me know that he had an OE waiting in the wings. I gave it to a Mod on AS for his sons to use as a starter saw, (SVK?).

After a couple years of cad, finally joined the six cube husky club. All torn down now getting new mains and seals, piston and rings, carb kit, fuel line and some other doodads and whositswhatsins here and there. Really excited to throw it in some wood and see how it goes. Never ran one before.0303161507a.jpg0303161507.jpg
