Husqvarna L65 Questions.

Hello Guys and Gals, Neighbor down the road has an old L65 he would be interested in selling but I have a few questions. What kind of compression do these saws generally make ? I pulled the muffler and everything looks decent, saw runs strong, it's a real torque monster. When I put a compression gauge on it after running it a while I got 140 pounds, I'm at about 1000ft elevation. Second is what are these saws worth ? This ones nice and complete, I wouldn't call it collectors condition, but pretty clean with no broken or cracked parts. It's wearing an old Oregon ProLite 20" bar and chain. He said he would take $150 for it.

Over the past few months I saw two of them sell locally on a online auction for $75 and $125.

They were both in really nice shape and were said to run.

I got this from a friend. $40. he paid $100. he's got dibz if I want it to go... runs as it looks.

I bought a mint one for my cutting partner, original bar and never re sharpened chain. That saw cold and after setting a day and night would pull 150+, tried it 3 times in a row and best it got to was 152 lbs. My buddy ran two full tanks of fuel through it and then retired it to shelf queen status. Chain has not been sharpened since new.

Nice saw never saw one that wasn't beat that looks nos.
