Husqvarna discontinuing some cylinders?

I have heard that husqvarna was going to discontinue some cylinders, Like the 50mm and the 51.4mm. Anyone else heard the same?

id find that odd since you can still get some cylinders from the previous series (272,288). be interested to know if its true

The 2 series are still sold in Brazil and aren't any real competition with the newer saws IMO. I could see quite a few guys trying to keep their 372's going until the end of time as long as parts are available. Aftermarket parts will always be available but everyone knows the story as far as that goes.

I asked the local husky dealer here and the price for a 51,4mm assembly was around 440$ with tax here in Sweden... Same for the 50mm. I bought one on ebay from the US for 115$ instead.
With those prices I wonder if they dont want to sell parts?

I'm not taking any chances and will be stocking up on cylinder kits as the bank account allows. I already have a handful stashed in the cupboard.

They DO NOT want to sell parts. They want to sell new saws. The solution is to overprice parts.

These folks usually have them pretty cheap - they should be back in stock soon.

Yes, looks like the 51.4 is going away. Been watching the inventory go down, and it will probably disappear after I post this. LOL Thought of grabbing them myself, but I don't . As of now, they have 21 left down there and I'm pretty sure that will be it. I have a half dozen or so in stock.
