Some people on here have run a lot of saws. If they say the 346 holds better in the cut, they're probably right.

If you want a stock saw, 346 (or jred 2152) or 261 will be better than 026.

Porting either one is even better still.

Not the newest type 2 261 with new clutch cover. Aso come in carb. Just seen one elsewhere used for 350.
T2 261 weighs in 10 range while 346 550 in 11 range.
By range you mean just below 11 right, even stihl advertises it at 10.8. I haven't found that it's any different feeling in hand than a 550 except it feels more like a stihl than a husky.
Stock I like the 346/550 myself.

Should be enough there for ya to compar. Thats the T2 NE 261, Not the heavier OE one.

I don't care as much about what a scale says myself, it's more important to me what my arms and back say, they say out of those saws posted the 261cm vs 2 had to go as I prefer the handling of the huskys. Power head weight alone is not the only factor at play; type/size of bar and chain, run time, handling, fuel economy, and other features all come into play. I don't mind the 241 and have had a few and still have a ported one, it's light enough(with bar and chain) that the handling isn't a big deal, and it sips fuel. Not sure what's up with the weights between the 241 and the 261 vs 2 in the pictures, they never felt that close to me.

I was only correcting the guy that said the 261 weighed a 1lb more. I was telling him only the OE was that way.

I dont give a rip about weights either. :p

Heck my choice of 71cc weighs more then a fat bottom girl 441. :risas3:

Heck stock for stock give me the 550 and 545 over a 346 OE and NE. :D

241 261 T2 were both weighed by same owner on same scale, even the 346. ;)

Run a 346 or variant ported by Kevin, GAME OVER!!! 50cc saws are kind of my favorite class, I ran one of Kevin's at the gtg last October and it was running full comp 3/8 in very hard oak, it had torque so spare! And I just don't know how!
