Hooskies burn my hands when I touch them. I just can't run them.
Jeff,
I've read this like 6 times in posts today..

You need to turn off the heated handles on the xpg you are running in the summer.
No more burn...good to go

Bump for Ted

Thanks for the info guys! I did a little research and found plenty of info on this.
I like the partition wall kit such as this:

https://www.husqvarna-parts-sales.com/537251302-Husqvarna-PARTITION-WALL-INTAKE

And if the bellows needs to be replaced this is it here:

https://www.husqvarna-parts-sales.com/503866302-Husqvarna-BELLOWS

Joe had mentioned on another thread that the bellows is usually fine.

I would also consider a new impulse hose while in there. I would pull the cylinder, change parts, and good to go.

I'll check w/ my buddy if he wants to pull the trigger on this. He's been using my 350 and really likes it -- he just bought a house and could use a saw. I figured a 350 for him would be perfect.

Sometime tomorrow I should know. Thanks again!

@RI Chevy if the clamshell setup on your 345 or whatever it is you have is like the 350 w/ the riser plate it's really no big deal to pull the cylinder to go to a metal clamp. Carb comes off easy, 4 bolts pull cylinder, remove boot, install new clamp setup, consider ditching base gasket and use sealer install cylinder / boot. Install carb and you are off.

340 and 345 dont have the riser.

PayPal sent to Ted. I think he'll be able to mark this one sold! Will get her a metal clamp kit (bellows and impulse line too) and off we go.
May change fuel line and filter since we'll be in there anyway...

As long as the crank seals go for a while should be great.
I'm not worried ... if something gets hosed there's so many 350's out there can always change her up to keep her going.

I'll probably ditch the base gasket too. I'll check before and after compression for grins.
Given the jug just bolts on the riser and the riser is held from the bottom separately, it should be similar to my 346 top end changeout... pretty comfortable w/ these saws.

Cheers.
