One done, this one is a nice oem with purely a big old muffler mod and a retune. I like it, heated handles are a novelty.. IMG_1529.JPG

Done a bit of grinding to match the case to the cylinder on the 346 NE

I was thinking of grinding a bit more, but I am just after that little bit extra, nothing more atm.

    Love it @blsnelling

Is that one done before or after that 340 hybrid? I remember the main uppers being brought further back towards the ex.

Tested this bad boy today. All in all it’s bloody strong for a 50cc. I like it more that the muffler modded 550xp. This has had a muffler mod, squish set, tiny bit of case matching and a new meteor piston kit with the caber. It has cost £155 all in with the new bar and chain.. IMG_1567.JPG

Now to tackle the 351. Which I found out today has a leaking flywheel side crank seal. Races when on the clutch side down. Checked the boot and all the other obvs like fuel etc.

Ok guys, what chain pitch and gauge are you running on your 50cc’s?

This is .325 .050 but I am not totally a fan of .325... also it’s a mission to get chisel chain rather than semi with .050...

But currently don’t care if it’s .325 as it still cuts like a lightsaber.

.325x18" here. I think usage is a consideration for choosing a pitch. I like 3/8 for bucking, but .325 is smoother and less grabby for limbing. Heck, a ported 50cc saw could reasonably be decked out with 3/8, .325, or 3/8lp. Each have advantages and disadvantages. Gotta try a few setups to figure out which you like the best.
