Guys in the know, is this a 2100 or just the recoil from one? I am tempted as I know it will go for peanuts and I am feeling the itch for something along the Makita 9000, although I get the feeling these 2100’s have a bit more grunt.

Cheers.

Pretty sure it's an 1100. They had the black two piece tank handle and a one piece top cover.

I think Jim has it - the muffler from this angle looks too small to be 1100 and the handlebar screws on the clutch side are too close together to be one of the bigger saws.

The top cover mount holes on the 380 are much closer to the handlebar. The 285/1100 holes are farther back to allow use of the two piece top.
The 56mm cylinder has a couple more fins with tighter spacing.

Hmm, my knowledge of these saws is pretty limited at best. I just wanted a good big project, problem is there are literally no spares popping up for anything older than a 2101.. I shall still keep an eye on it, what sort of price are we thinking for this as a non runner. I’m thinking not much [emoji23]

Keep your fingers crossed that the piston and cylinder are good. If not then at least you'll have some highly sought after parts to sell for a small profit.
A shop wouldn't want more than $20-$50 for it as is, but a person flipping it may want as much as $100.
