Well, I’ll start by introducing myself as I’m new here. Names Matt and live in nh. Have always loved chainsaws, but never thought much to invest much time in learning all the ins and outs, until now. Recently picked up kinda a basket case 161 for free. Got it to run and plan to build it. Question is, where can I locate parts and how do I look up the serial #? 5100292. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Went to my local small engine shop cause I heard he had a hoard of old, rare husky parts. Walked in with my 181 and 150$ later walked out with a barely used 288xp lite. Story is that the saw cut about 3 cord of firewood before the shed it was stored in caught fire. The fuel tank was melted so that all it needs. Thought I could use my 181’s until I swapped them and found the tank leaks. Now I need a tank and throttle trigger as the 181 is different than the 288. Any idea on the serial #? Year?
