Does the bigger clutch cover have captured nuts like the standard one?

Also, does it come with the outer spike or do you need to get the spike separately? We couldn't find a part number for the outer spike at the dealer when trying to order. It looked like it may come with the larger cover.

Does someone have a part number for the clutch cover and larger spikes as well?

I'm hoping to pick these up but my dealer isn't too familiar with them, especially with the 462. Thanks!

I had an R model here that I did, but I never even looked at it that closely. Too many saws.....

The big clutch cover of the rescue saw (1142 640 1702) has captive bar nuts. It comes with the large outer spike 1122 664 0509 (which was superseded to 1122 664 0501). Mounting material, a cover and bumber strips are also included. The large inner spike would be 1122 664 0506.

Thank you so much this is exactly what I was after. Any reason one would NOT want to run the larger cover?

I’m glad you can run pro safety or any of the 1122 spikes on this saw. I never cared for the 1122 hardwood spikes. No grip in bark that peels off like some hickory or maples. Most oaks and ash it was ok.

Will the 1122 664 0509 outer spike fit on the standard clutch cover as well?

Thanks so much!

I don`t know if this spike also fits the standard cover. On the standart cover (1142 640 1700) the spike is 1142 664 0501.

Great thanks, looks like that is the paired spike for what comes stock. Doing some other research it looks like the larger spikes either need to be ground to be able to fit the stock cover or need the larger cover.

In order to run this outer spike I had to grind out this area since the 462 cover had a slight angle in this area. This is aftermarket so OEM ones might not need the grinding. View attachment 171994 View attachment 171995
You also have to grind the OEM spikes when you will install them on the small clutch cover.
But they will fit perfectly on the big cover

After we dialed in the chain, this thing was one angry saw for a stocker. It barks. IMHO it smokes a stock 372xt in speed.
