I think a good 70-80cc (5 cube class) does the majority of what I do just fine. A 390-660-661-395 size saw wears me out a lot faster unless I’m just bucking logs on the landing. Once you start getting into big stuff they are more productive than 70cc sure. Smaller wood they just waste gas and tire you out faster imho. Use the tool for the job...

Two drilled holes later and that’s much better than having just one dog felling trees or bumping knots/crotches on the landing! Finally got this thing setup the way I think it should have come out of box... two dogs and a roller catch. For what I’m doing the two smaller dogs are adequate here in the east but out west in thicker bark I’d definitely upgrade to the large spikes. Did the roller come with the spike? I assume not.

I got mine from Bob spike60 as a favor to me (thanks again!), but he is trying to cut down on online orders because he is so busy this time of the year he told me. I’m sure @Onan18 on the forum or any other husky dealer could order it for you. Comes with screws and nuts as a kit.

And if a guy wants to just fit big dogs on the stock cover they could file this area flat I’m guessing 252FD4B8-CC43-4D79-AAA3-9B2603F4BAFA.jpeg and run standard bar nuts like I was saying a while back. I haven’t tried it myself.

Also HL Supply is a Husqvarna dealer, I try to buy as much as possible from them as they are gracious enough to be our forum hosts.
