This is what I was referring to. On the corners of the oil tank the paint was starting to wear when I unboxed it.

Not knocking the saw just the grey paint.

Something is wrong there, ours has three days production on it no wear at all yet. Did you complain to the dealer you bought it from? (Edit: never mind, saw you had Kevin port it making warranty null and void).

I don't care about the warranty and given Husky's reputation regarding the paint I wasn't really surprised. It's still a kickass saw.

One of the best improvements I’ve seen on this saw is torx screws for everything. The heads don’t strip as easily as Allen head and they don’t vibe out as easily either. Only negative is you now have to buy screws from the manufacturers, you can’t just go to the hardware store and find the screw for mere cents.

Well to be honest I wasn’t impressed with the grey paint on my 562 I had, wore quickly on the clutch cover and I don’t abuse my saws. But hopefully your 572 was just defective and isn’t the norm.

All the 565's and 572's I have unboxed and set up had the roller chain catch and hardware in a bag in the box. Maybe some dealers are just not installing them?
That's terrible sending a 70cc saw out like that. I don't see why the factory wouldn't put it on to prevent that (whether unintended or not)

Idk what it is with these new saws and them doing that... even the 462 I tested same deal. One small dog and a metal catch too. Must be a cost cutting measure or to get the “spec” weight down for those who pay too much attention to that stuff.
