I remember 346 top ends being around $200, then dropped to $120 a few years ago. And now this drop. Cool beans! I'll order a couple real soon from Bob.

Yeah, that was 2 years ago already! Funny thing was I initially thought it was a mistake and wouldn't be there for long. So, I went down the list and ordered almost 200 kits. Ran them out of a couple part numbers. Not worried about it this time though.

Between then and now, I've had conversations with some Husky people. They are simply going to be aggressive on the parts business. Not just saws, but on mower parts as well. They want to sell a lot of parts.

I am a little surprised that they went down again though. So we might as well have some fun with it, right?

By the way this will NOT help with 346 addiction.
Would love to find some 346's with toasted tops -- throw on a cylinder, boot, and the $10 Zama EL42 look alike and it's like a new saw on the cheap -- w/ OEM piston/cylinder!

If I remember right a while ago these were north of $200 for piston/cylinder. Crazy -- and awesome!

Yep, except the $10 Chinese carb junk. I put walbro 357xp carbs on every 346 I do, 191, 198 or 199.

Can those bolt right on the flange and throttle choke connect up ok? Or are mods required? Im going to run what I have and if it becomes problematic I'll address it. The top ends are cheap enough it isn't as big of a deal to change!

They bolt right up more or less, have to open up the inside of the boot so the throttle butterfly clears and trim the carb floor for the throttle linkage to clear. Otherwise it is a direct hookup.

Yes, no mods, 357 carb bolts right into a 346. I don't change anything else. Some think its best to change the whole intake track to 357 parts, but it makes no difference in power from my own experience.

Joe, I've never had to do any of that and I've put 357 carbs on 8 different 346s'???

Joe, what is the prices on those top end kits:
357
550
562

Another thing, 346 without decomp is the cheapest 346 kit again?

Did the 372 kits drop in price again?

Yes for most of them. The original 50mm 372 kits stayed the same. The rest of the kits dropped down to where they are now all the same price. XPW, single ring 371 kit, and the XT top ends are now all the same price as the standard kit.

The whole intake upgrade is definitely beneficial on a well ported saw plus you get a better air filter set up

As of 03/12/2018 And yes the non decomp 346 cylinders are cheaper than the decomp cylinders again.
thanks Joe,
Seems I need to grab some 353, 359 and 550 projects from my dealers, thought I was done with those saws, but with those top end kit prices.........
