husky bar plates missing ?

my 365xp and 460 rancher does not have an outer bar plate , but my 272xp has both inner and outer and my macs all have two , I do have a smaller husky , recently acquired , that I haven't checked yet
does anyone know if 365xp and 460 rancher should have both ? seems like they should

No need for outer bar plate on the 365. As long as you have the inner you are ok. There is a plastic guide on the clutch cover that keeps the chain in line. If it’s missing or the inner bar plate is damaged the saw will derail the chain a lot easier. Same for 385/390’s.

The later 272's did without the outer plate at some point, the inner is still needed and still made.
