Hey Guys thanks for the Add. I have been looking at the 562XP and 465Rancher for a while. I have about 7 Water Oaks I have to work on they have been growing since 1981.. I am probably removing at least 3 of them. Just want your Opinions on both Saws or should I buy Something else or something Bigger. Thank you for the Help.

Btwn your two aforementioned saws...562XP all day long!

...and welcome to the hellhole! Might wanna sling your wallet off the pier before you get in wayyyy too deep around these parts...you'll have a dozen saws or better, divorced, etc, etc. You get the picture!

Welcome to OPE. What else are you planning to do with the saw besides the water oaks? Firewood and occasional storm cleanup? If so, I would also highly recommend the 562XP new edition.

60cc's is more than enough to cover firewood duties for most folks. It's a lightweight enough saw that you can use it all day, it limbs extremely efficiently and can pull a decent length bar/chain setup.

Very good all around saw.

Yea don't make the same mistake I did. I got the 460 rancher w/ a 20" B/C, it cuts alright when your careful to keep the rpm's up. Just something about a plastic saw bothers me. I may never wear out the 460 having multiple saws now but may forever regret not getting the 372. I would say at least get the 365, but then u might as well get the 372. If it's too big for smaller jobs just get a small/top handle saw they are much cheaper then 70cc saws. Buy once and buy smart.

Welcome to the site
Either of those choices bone stock are capable saws.
I much prefer 365/371/372 over those that's just me
But we here tend to mod stuff.
Try to get your hands on a variety to try
Before you buy
Everyone's different
Some even like stihl

Some of us just don't need or want a 70cc saw. I'd much rather run a strong Pro 60cc saw. But that's just me. There is no right or wrong answer.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say if that is all you have to work on either saw will be just fine. @Spike60 has plenty of experience with both and will give you a straight answer and is a good guy to buy one from too.

465 Rancher and 562XP are a pair of saws drastically different from one another. I haven't paid attention to real world prices on the 465 but I would guesstimate that it's a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the 562. If the price of the 562 isn't a bother to you, get the 562. Also as Dub said, don't overlook the 555. We have one at my work and so far it's been great. I haven't run a 465 but I'd bet the 555 might outclass the 465 in almost every category. 555 is the non-xp, slightly detuned twin of the 562xp. Same cylinder (detuned a bit) same mag case construction. It's a very solid saw.

Welcome aboard! :D
