Gilardoni made top ends for 42, 42 Special, 242 and 246.
246 is labeled 241A
242 is labeled 241B
42 & 42 Special had several different Gilardonis, the latest was 241C, all those versions before 241C did not have a 241 letter far as I know.
Most of the times I get them with a Mahle, I've seen 5 different types just from Mahle.
