OK, I'll do that. The "fellow collector" comment weakened my resolve. I'm cool with sharing stuff that is NLA to help guys out, but I had to get out of shipping cheap parts that can be bought in a thousand places. That is better served by guys like Dave and Bruce who are more geared up for that stuff.

$20 each, which is about what most Husky AF's go for now, and these aare long time NLA items. They have different spacing between the mounting bolts than the later saws that took the lower filter which was shared with the 930's.. Taking 2, I'll cover the shipping.

I have enjoyed this thread very much. Some day I will complete my collection of this series of saws in Orange and red and black. I still need all 3 61s 266 66 both 268s 272 oh and a 162. I've got all the jonnys covered. Funny thing is I don't heat with wood only have saws to cut dad's wood and a hobby sort of thing. As it is everyone thinks im crazy with what I got already.

Can you still buy the 670 Champ piston new?

Although there have been variations over the years, the 670, 266, and 268XP pistons are fully interchangeable. All OEM numbers supersede up to 501 659 403 which it still available. It's an open skirt design.

I'm in a similar boat with the 61's. Just recently got a decent white top 61, that will be a build project real soon. Also have a gray top twin coil 61 that I stuck an AM 272 kit on that had been laying around. The white top will be getting a 266 top end. I like the 61's and 625's as part of the family, but I feel they give up too much performance to the other models. Had a 625 that I never used, turned it into a "672" (OEM kit) and I love it. I know this is wrong from the "collector" perspective, but I'll actually use the saws with the better cylinders.

I kind of think in terms of there being four 61's and not three. There were the white and gray top twin coils, and there was briefly a gray top single coil 61 as the chassis update arrived before they got away from the gray top saws.
