You gonna deer hunt with that this year?

I’m using a Ruger SBH with a 7.5” barrel..

Open sights.

The rifles are cool, but I’m trying to make it harder.

I’m sitting on the ground too. Should be hard to even score a good sized doe.

I ground hunted with my 44 several years ago. Open sights as well. Got a nice doe on the last day. Damn good time.

I’ve shot deer at crazy distances just to see if I could.

The best ones seem to be in the thick brush.

Shot the biggest buck of my life last year at about 40 yards..

Might as well use a pistol.

Checking in to see if any of you guys are shooting the 6.5mm Creedmoor round.
I've been doing some research on it. Looking at various gun makers and their offerings in this caliber.
Some guys are shooting coyote's with these, deer and various other game as well. If any one has
any insight or own's a rifle -- give some feedback.

Day two in the deer blind. Almost like work. Leave early come home late lol.
Should have had a big doe last night but had some gun issues. Patially my falt. Well all my fault. I miplaced the nipple and found another but the cap dont stay on very good. Got to pinch cap first. Dont think cap must have been quite on all the way?
Doe was 25 yards and buggered off befor i could recycle the bolt.
Gonna go for a drive to the hunting store after this am hunt and buy a new one.

I have a Savage 10T. 140 grain bullets will do plenty of damage to a deer and the more target style rounds will kill a coyote or rodent fine at 6-800 from what I’ve seen. I wouldn’t go for anything past 600 on deer with one.

I think I’d stay around 120 and keep the Bambi killin’ To inside 400..
not that it wouldn’t do the job. But 450 with a 110 was a little greedy. What was the twist on those 140’s at 600?
