Just picked up this deluxe model 10/22. The wood is quite nice for a gun I paid $185 with the Nikon Prostaff 3x9 at a garage sale :)

It shoots quite well and seems to prefer CCI Standard Velocity. Shooting at 35yds

I honestly don't know, but it looks like it. I have much more expensive rifles with wood not this nice. Original buyer hit the wood lottery for a cheap rifle

That doesn't look like a standard Ruger checkering pattern. Could that be an aftermarket stock?
Have you looked inside For upgraded parts?

Have you looked inside For upgraded parts?

I have one with equally as nice wood right from ruger & same checkering

Its bone stock. They occasionally build a deluxe model of some sort, this is one of them

wasn't sure where to put this but went to our local gun shop and had a look around nice guns But i was only after a air rifle .22

Can’t load photos but will tomorrow when the site allows
