Some of you guy's probably watch the youtube gun guy's like i do to see what interesting guns are coming out but lately some are begging for donations like that wranglerstar tool does.
something about losing sponsors who cares
Nobody's ever paid for my gun's or ammo what do you guy's think.

My gripe is when the advertising comes back they aren't gonna give the money back or cut it off. I damn sure ain't gonna make you rich when I'm struggling.

Really liking the 709 slim.
Shot it some more today after fixing a saw and since I figured out the site adjustments on it.
Feels so natural in my hand and once you start pulling the trigger the long pull isnt even noticed after first shot. :beer-toast1:

Not my pic but have everything in pic.

I'd like to try one of those. I love my Taurus 608 in .357. I think Taurus gets a bad rap from the earlier days and from the S&W fanboys (and girls) who just "know" that more money always equals a better product. Often yes, but not always. The thought of possibly losing a $700+ firearm, God-forbid that I should ever have to defend my family or myself doesn't sit well with me and is the reason I don't carry my 608 or 629, outside of camping, hunting, fishing and hiking. Losing a Glock or any other polymer pistol around the $300-500 mark, well crap. Just my 0.02...

No expert but anything cheaper not meaning less quality such as the excellent turkish cz75 or 1911 clones and their canik tp series very accurate great trigger's are crapped on by the big name gun enthusiast sw glock fn hk Springfield ect. it's funny saws and gun's are similar
i just discovered those Chinese 372 clones and have been very impressed and others have too that have tried them now there is all kinds of guy's building them it's so similar to the mid 80s when glock came out lol my friends called them c locks because they misread the logo and they would never own that foreign trash lol
A taurus pt100 .40 was one of the most accurate autos I've ever owned.

I like calibers that start with the number 4 (aside of the .357) but the 9mm and .357 SIG are growing on me from a practicality standpoint and from a recoil standpoint. I'd much rather shoot Garret or Buffalo bore loads through my 4" 629 S&W than just about any loads through certain .40's, though my P-250 Sig isn't bad. A smaller 9mm may just be the ticket in a 709, G43 or Walther PPS for summer carry saving my 250 for Winter clothing. I've shot the Walther and Glock, but given that I'm running a DAO trigger on the 250, plus my DA/SA wheelguns, the 709 may be the logical choice. I'll have to find one to test drive!

I never found any full house .44M load that was fun to shoot in a 4" 629. With the old cheese grater grips, they were quite unpleasant.

Yes absolutely the most painful experience I've ever had shooting a firearm of any kind .458 win mag . 416 rigby 45/70 were some kickers but for pain it was a scandium or titanium can't remember smith .44 mag with some kind of buffalo bore load a .500 smith is actually pleasant to shoot but that .44 isn't lol

The cheese-graters suck. Mine came with Finger grooved Hogues which are too small for my hand. They're alright with .44spl loads, but aren't the greatest with hot 240-310gr loads. I will have a set of Herrett stocks in either the Roper or Jordan Trooper, or something similar, sized to my hand, w/o the stupid finger grooves that fit no one.

Anyone ever build a bullet trap for their range? I'm looking at using a plastic 55g barrel and? No sand.

I've been to a range that had one like this worked good lots of hits no exits.View attachment 66357
That's interesting. I think I can definitely come up with a few sidewalls. Thanks!

Edit. I'm thinking about layers hanging from the top with the bottom cut out too so a tray can catch lead. Maybe a plate in the back and 3 or 4 layers of conveyor belt in front.

The rubber thing is a big step in the right direction. I'm looking for low maintenance with easy lead collection.
