The one I did drilling and tapping was so big a 056 stud wouldn’t fit. I didn’t want to have the case half welded so I drilled and tapped it together. Rinsed with pure gas for a while to get it clean.

Pull both bar studs then find a suitable cradle to lay the stud in and stipple it all around with a center punch in the area that is in the mag only, If only one is loose do just the one.
Take a good flat file or a flat item with sand paper on it and flatten out the bar pad until it's trued.
Clean the studs and holes and install with a ample supply of red Loctite making sure the stippled stud goes back in the wallered hole, also check the clutch cover it may need to flattened out as well.
Now it doesn't need 500 foot pounds of torque to hold the bar as it is nice and flat and will hold back bar oil as it's making a good seal by the oil passageway.
