When you drill a hole to provide fuel to the low side so that it doesn't pull fuel from the nozzle well, do you block the low side passage in the nozzle well?

That brass jet sitting next to the welch plug, is that an auxiliary jet to the low speed circuit? Sure looks like it, if it is then bumping up the low speed flow is really easy, all you have to do is drill it out (finding the right size is the hard part).

I like this mod a lot, I would like to carry out mod on a spare WG8 that I have.
The only part that I would struggle with would be creating the seal on the new needle.
I assume I would need a lathe to cut a recess for the O ring to create the seal around the new H needle ?

Just saw this post.

The hole to feed the idle circuit is just needed on a highly modified saw. As you picked up on, it will feed both the high, and low if the passage is not plugged between the two. That is easily done with a drill and a piece of brass rod driven into the hole.....

I just use a drill bit.....and a steady hand.

Keep it simple.

Would you consider selling one of your custom needles to me in the UK?
If you are happy to sell, how much would the needle cost, please include shipping.
If I may request the cheapest form of shipping, even if its sent via land and takes 3 months thats fine.
I assume its not possible to use the a Low needle for the high ?

Could you please tell me what the type of thread I need to tap for the new high Jet to be compatible with existing walbro jets or is it the same size as the jet that you make ??

Hi,
Any news on the quote for the needle and postage to the UK ?
Will a standard needle work and if so, how would I need to modify it ?
thanks
Gavin

Put the drill in the right place then get it to run true.
All that done on a little cube with a tiny bit.
Good lighting , an optiviser, readers and clear head. How often does all that end up all together at once?

Get it right then you want to do another one.
Yep, it will get expensive.

Need any secondary metering rods for Q jets? Gawd i'm old!

Bilge Rat you are like my pecker a true Longfellow.

(P.S. we are all still monkeying with Quadrajets.)

I've got one ready to send....but my fiber is out. I can't get on the Internet to print a label. For the last couple of days, just been able to use my phone. They assure me that they are working on the problem.
