How much "beak"

So how much beak do you fellas prefer ? This chain got beat up pretty good . Didn't feel like dragging grinder out give me some lessons! This chain will cut I've seen better but haven't had a file in hand for a while because I been on a grinding kick. Hurt my feelings guys Haven't set depth yet

You could go a little deeper and still be fine.

When i started hand filing free hand i had a new loop to try to go by. It help to see what your end peoduct should look like.

I file quite a bit It's either free hand or grind it Just got thinking....... More or less how much beak is a good thing seems a beaked cutter will cut rather well what is the downfall of too much beak?

Lots of beak leaves less metal supporting the cutting corner. More beak may equal faster chain but it will dull quicker.
