How and where can I get help

I got a Disston KB7-AY saw that I need help with. I need to remove the gear on the end of the crank shaft that drives the clutch. I need to repair the flange on the engine thanks to UPS . Part of the flange is broken and needs to be welded back on to the case. Thanks for any help

I've taken a gear box apart before. Been in a magneto. Other than that just done all possible adjustments. It just took a magneto cleaning to make mine run. It had sat 50 yrs. in an old Homelite dealers storage untouched.

how did you clean the magneto?

I hope to get into the welder soon and fix the stuff that UPS broke. Made me mad

how did you clean the magneto?

Switch and contact cleaner and various small brushes. Then I used a pencil eraser to clean the brass contacts on the rotor and the contacts in the cap. Make sure that the vent holes in the cap are clear.

Does anyone know where I might find parts for this saw. I know there is someone with a shed full of these saws. Still waiting on getting the saw welded up. I hope this week
