Good morning!
This old Wright GS5020 (116cc) had the handle broken off the back so I aluminum brazed the handle parts back on and put a kit in the carb. You can see the reciprocating action of the blade in the slow motion clip.

Any good fixing ideas?
Plastic welder.
I have a Leister that I would loan to you.
I also have several kinds of filler rod.
It uses hot air to heat it up, and then you add filler rod.
It will have to be thoroughly cleaned. And then welded shut. If there is room, then I would try to add some extra filler and/or a patch over it to spread out the stress.
PM me if you're interested.

This video is a bit obnoxious, but it demonstrates the "pendulum welding" technique that you would use.

Not sure Mark..
Wood looks like pear, but being a bastardized hybrid, it could be poor..

I tried to give some to a couple guys that smoke (for competition and restaurant purposes). They both laughed at me. I wouldn't use it if you have other good cooking wood.

I have had good luck with JB weld on truck diesel fuel tanks and pontoon boat pontoons. I have accidentally fused cell phones and radios together with Methylene Chloride. Makes batteries and buttons fused together permanently.

It's probably just gonna go in the bay with the rest of the mix to be stove wood.
