Anybody ever seen one of these? Dad has had one in the weeds for years. Gonna dig it out this afternoon to start rebuilding it it's got a mac 101 engine on it. Definitely gonna need a motor for sure.

I told Gwenna, the nice young gal who came to set me up with my little room (for under $60) that I thought it was a pretty town, that seemed to be sensibly run by sensible people. A far cry from the outskirts of Scranton... LOL

Bet you stayed in the motel that I did last year since there's only one. They said to forget having a chance getting a room in Fall hunting season. Mid Century Modern decor including pastel bathroom fixtures. Proves that if you don't update, you'll be in style again eventually. [emoji39]

Here are the starting pics. Gonna be a project for sure! Apparently this one is called a dune cycle spider. The mac is supposed to put out about 14hp. Missing the expansion chamber though.

Oh, she is in tough shape. Motor locked I guess. Shame the motor wasn't pulled and kept inside. Oh well, I've seen things a lot worse than that brought back to life. It really is just too cool. Maybe you can drive it around the next hedgefest.

I have a harebrained idea. I am not good with a throw line. I thought a cheap very large open faced spinning reel on a short heavy rod might help me with line management, and maybe the accuracy of my tosses. 2mm braided line, maybe a 4 oz sinker painted orange.

Thoughts? Opinions? I am not interested in a slingshot or a bow fishing rig.
