Looks like a dual-purpose bar; cut wood with the edges, then rasp smooth with the sides!

Maybe laser cut some hex holes in there to also work as a bar nut wrench?

Started out as a Laser bar. It’ll probably end up weighing about 60% of the original weight. I think that’s where the 32” I did ended up.

Looks like the weight savings are around 35%. Same as the 32” I did a while back.

The finish did not come out as well as I had hoped on this one. Last one looked better.
The steel had more imperfections and the JB Weld ended up filling in those imperfections, and I had a hell of a time cleaning it up. The carbon also delaminated in a couple of spots. It’s far from perfect, but I’ll actually use it, so it doesn’t have to be pretty. Good enough for who it’s for, right? Lol

Graphite panels glued on one side or both?

    LED lights in-between?

    Looks great!

Thanks! They’re 1mm carbon panels glued with JB Weld to each side. The void between the panels is also filled with JB Weld.

If you could machine them 100% accurately you could use thicker carbon and save some more weight. Unfortunately I don’t have access to anyone with a mill anymore, so I won’t be able to do this again and see what the results may be.

Most of these bars are just about 5mm thick, so if you left a 1mm rim in the middle, you could use 1.5-2mm carbon. Of the 8oz added after the cutouts were made, the JB Weld added the most of it. Less JB Weld and more carbon equals lighter.

Edit: I should have mentioned that I left more meat between the two cutouts compared to last time. I guess I could have saved a little more weight by not doing that, but I figured the longer bar could use a little extra help.

No led LED lights in between. That’s all Wayne @Dub11 Lol.

Instead of a sprocket nose, @Dub11 would use a chrome spinner wheel....straight outta da' hood.

He could cut out a big toofie smile, fill it in with something shiny, and have a guide bar with a big ass grill.

So a gold plated, rocked out, spinner wearing Fabz razor chain equipped bar?

    I'll try my bestest then.
