Weight reduction is in order. I'm having two of my bars milled out to fit D025. The carbon bar and a 28" Total Lightweight. We'll see how it goes. Should have them back after the weekend. Will be fun to try the carbon bar on the 066.

If you want to torture test your RW bar that 066 is definitely a good saw for the job.

I'm curious to see how the 90° corners in the lightened portion hold up. Usually that creates a spot for a crack to occur. Seems to be doing fine so far though

The recessed rim that acts as a mechanical fastener encompasses all four sides of each cutout. Stress should be minimal because of this.

I should be ready to start on my next bar the week of Thanksgiving. I was hoping to get going on the 42" Oregon by now, but I have a daughter getting married this Friday, and then we are having a second reception for her in California the following weekend(not my idea).
I will be upsizing from the 1" Relton to a 1 3/8" Relton. This will allow me to run a 1/4" two sided beveled edge around the cutout rims, while leaving plenty of room to the rail groove.
Get after it @Dub11. Tear some *s-word up.

    That would be bad ass!

Both the carbon bar and my Total Lightweight 28" is milled out and ready for the 066 now. Gonna be awesome! The Total bar must have spring steel or something in it. My buddy said it was a little bit of a beeatch to mill it.

Must be why the solid machined bars are more expensive than the laminated ones.
