Trying to update my Homelite 650 super and 750 clutches - both are 6 shoe hd and both are getting a little wobbly. Looking for the 65393 needle bearing.
The old bearings are 5/8" id 3/4" od and 1/2" long. I've bought 65393 from 2 different sources that claimed they were for the 650/750/1050, and they were all way too big. AND my research shows the 1050 uses a different bearing than the 650/750.
I found a Torrington that was 5/8 id, 5/8 long, and was .812 od in a cup. I cut the cup off and the inside of the cup is .759.
Thought this might work even tho the needles are not captured in the cage - didn't work, od is just a smidgen too big.
I've got several feelers out for the correct size, but no hits yet.
Anyone have a source for the 'real' 65393?
