How does the G372 and G388 compare build quality wise?

Just the kits..mine had a bad chain brake band and the squish was like .050 so its compression was a bit low. Other than that it was good.

Today first real usage of my BigBore G372.
What should I say. Nice. Runs well through the wood. Needed to adjust the carb a bit. And i recognized, that the Holzfforma airfilter seems to be crap. Lots of dust inside the intake.
Which filter would you recommend?
Another question. My H on the carb is almost completely closed. Normal?

Addition. Oiling is well. Sprays in the Front. Saw has a lot of power.

No not normal, but not surprised. Give it a tank assuming it will run and see if the carb wanders into the right direction. Should be as a typical 372's carb is...around 1 to 1.125 turns out to start, maybe an 1/8 of a turn from that point to get things crisp and idling. Get more than a 1/2 turn away from that and I'll start wondering about whats off.

I’ve made some tape around the filter to get a tighter fit into the holder. We‘ll see. [emoji869]

If I go the kit route, do I need any of the special tools for the case assembly? (G365/372)

I got all the mechanics tools covered and then some. Just not sure about chainsaw case tools.

I was just going to buy assembled, but looking at the kits and some of the videos I think I'd like to roll my own.
I could spare a few hours here and there and slap one together.

TIA

And interestingly enough that goofy saw ended up in a Amish logging operation and is still making money for them

The 65cc 272 in blue is listed, as per my OP. In 71cc, it's only XP and XT (orange).

*s-word gets confusing over there from time to time it would seem.

Huh. Normally I'm better with pictures than words. LOL

This morning the Orange G272XP is out of stock, both in kit and assembled form.

A blue version coming?
