I do know this you can get it too big on the inside and lose power

I don't know about that. Terry Ives said bigger is better. I put a hd on a 125 Mc and it ran good. Have you seen an hd? Huge! My West Bend had a very big Walboro and ran fine. Art Martin had three hl carbs on a West Bend and it ran fine.
