Could I plug it with jb weld or something to eliminate the chances of it leaking at some point? Crimp the brass outlet closed?

Jb weld won't be eaten by gas correct?

I'd use the fuel line....that way you can use the carb for another saw if you want to.

Jb weld would probably work fine though.

Brand new OEM clip never even snapped on to the cover. I filled the case with mix to rinse it out and while turning it over, the clip snapped. Are Husqvarnas really this fragile? $10 a clip how many am I going to break using this saw? Or did I just get a weak one? Look how thin this plastic is and no metal in it either. Need a little help figuring out handle screws. There are 3 on the side (#1) and two (#6) on the bottom. I can't tell which (bottom or top) the longer screws go. I have many screws from 2 saws so I'm not sure just going by numbers. Since it's plastic I don't want to go through the tank image.jpg

Thanks, the new top cover, muffler, and recoil decal help. The case has a nice patina. It will not be a shelf queen.

Here's how it compares size wise Dolmar 5100s, 346, 026 top picimage.jpg image.jpg I was able to finish assembly today. I couldn't find a shade of orange that I liked and since none of the factory orange matches anyways, I used some hammertone gray I had at home for the clutch cover. I might respray orange
image.jpg image.jpg in spring since it's hard to get a nice finish when it's 5* outside and you don't want to stink up the house. A nice new Husqvarna sticker has been ordered for the cover.

That's a K041 mount I converted to K095 since I had it laying around. 18" .325 Stihl RM safety something. I'll be able to share chains with my 421
