Help needed 8 h.p. roper tranny

Well my son tried to fix something with his little lawn tractor and was taking pics along the way and went to put togeather to discover the pics never took.
So now all the gears are in a pile on his shed floor. Does anyone happen to have a teardown of it to help me get it togeather for him.

You need to find and post all of the tags and labels off of the transmission. It will either be a Peerless/Tecumseh or a Foote.

I found a tear down manual on line. Still hard to teel exactly whats what but after about an hoir or so and taking gears in and out about three times i think i got it figured out. The tranny / rear end bolts are in boys shed so will wait till tomlrrow and get them and tighten it up. And make shure its gonna work propper befor i put rtv silicone on it to seal it up.

Hardest part was figuring out the shift forks.

Well i havnt got sometging quite rite. I have three forward gears but no revers. Gonna have to tear into it again. Starting to get frustrating.
