That's the SMWW cylinder??
Looks like mine "did"....
They are sloppy about bearing installation and the metal slivers are case bits from non-square bearing installation...
Make sure bearing is seated properly in F/W side.
PTO side should be measured for proper alignment or knocked in a bit, install oil pump, then seat bearing against it.... (Or however you like best)
Mine was WAY off...

Agreed ... it really surprised me on the upside, and I have tried a lot of dark beers.

I was gonna do the same mod to the baffle, but then when I looked at it, I did not see any purpose in drilling the top hole.

I drilled a 1/2 hole in the bottom, and then opened it up a bit with the grinder bit in my drill.
