Short handle is for wedge pounder

Just ordered one of the Bailey's/ Council felling axes on sale, because a guy from California convinced me of that.

If not, having an extra axe is not a bad thing, and they don't take up too much space.

I personally prefer a 3.5 lb axe with a shorter handle. I typically move around a ton in a run of a day and prefer to have the axe attached to myself to make carrying my gear manageable. A long axe in that case just gets in the way.
