I had to wait until I got back to Alaska to take pics and put in my 2 cents worth on this topic

I bought these 2 rims off ebay a number of years back

Listed as "NOS" Oregon rims

At the time I didn't know what "NOS" meant and when I got them they quite obviously didn't look like the genuine Oregon on my big Dolmar

I contacted the seller and he said they were "old style" and pointed out the NOS in the listing and then reminded me it plainly said NO RETURNS so basically "tough $#!t"

They lack any Oregon marking and also lack the small slit at 90 degrees to the driver slots as shown on the genuine Oregon on the left

Dunno who made them but they live in my last ditch after the fall of mankind armageddon stash of 4th tier backup stuffs

They will probably work, as long as they run true. Question is if they are as good as the OEM rims.

I will admit that they appear to be as well made as Oregon if you are going by surface finish, etc

I believe they are MIM (metal injected molding) construction as are lots of other pieces/parts of this sort and if they are MIM they look good

No big voids, cracks, porosity, etc

I guess I should put one on and run it without a bar and chain to see if there is obvious runout or out of round issues

If that looks good I will try it with my newest bar and a new chain and see about any chatter, vibration, etc

If that looks good it's on to trying it in wood

We shall see...

I think Oregon makes stihl rims so it could be possible they came from the same line?? If Oregon makes them in China. I’d guess they are clones

Oregon makes them in China since when? What’s the facility in Portland do?

I would get what appeared and performed like real Stihl 33RS chain in legit looking but blank boxes that only had Oilomatic on them and not Stihl, with a certain seller of 365 clones. The chains alone cost about $33ish if I remember correctly. That's what turned me on to Stihl chain as my favourite.
