Ours really took off in the last week or so, and got a bit ahead of us. That bunch is headed for the freezer.Nice, I'm not sure my Swiss chard would get that big but I usually clip it regularly.
How do you eat the Swiss chard. Like a green?
Possum Blues!!
Checking the last of the summer veggies, and low behold a burly funky looking possum bolts out from under my woodpile!
I live within the city limits, so blasting him with the 12 guage or .40 cal is not going to be too neighbor/cop friendly.
Will my my old trusty Daisy 880 PowerLine pellet rifle do the trick or would I fare better putting down poison?
I don't eat them or care much for their company...so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Well woke up to a frost... sprayed everything with water hopefully that'll save some stuff.
Calling for temps in mid 30's again tonight... My tomatoes are just starting to turn redWas 42 here. I'm not ready for that - our tomatoes are just getting started.
Try .22 CB caps. In a rifle, they're quieter than a pellet rifle and more effective.Yes, the pellet rifle will work damn good, if it is over 1000 ft. pr. sec. aka 22 rim fire. We don't eat them, we shoot them!!
Hmmm!!
I really like a 7 iron in that caseTry .22 CB caps. In a rifle, they're quieter than a pellet rifle and more effective.
If you can catch him in the open, a 5 iron is the perfect club for Possums. Just the right amount of loft and the shaft length is perfect.
