Who is doing it and how? What's your favorite way to do it?

Pics and snacks required....

Are you wanting one?

Reduces case volume. Saw takes smaller gulps, but makes more case pressure. So more rpm for a race saw.

IMHO, no place for it in a worksaw at all. I'm sure others will disagree.

I have no intention of putting it in a worksaw. I would like to try this just to see if I could do it.

My idea would be to press apart a factory crank, dimension it out and add a little bit of stroke to the circles.

I have a machine shop local to me with a water jet, if I tell them exact dimensions they will be perfect. Then turn the crank halves down on the lathe and press it into my circles and press the halves together. I have some spare cases and would make slip fit bearings to line the crank back up when it gets put together. Then drill and pin it.

Might be too much work to do it that way though. Idk

Also, @Jon1212 can I get this thread merged with the other one of the same title. I don't know how there ended up being two different threads.

Thanks!

I hate concrete saws, I know they live in a horrible environment, and do a necessary job, but do the OEMs honestly have to make them THAT miserable to work on?
The whole "lifting up the carb box to hook up fuel lines and carb linkage" thing....not sure what they were thinking there
