I'm sanding the base.
Those marks between the transfers are from careless dremeling.

Oh ok. I didn't know if you had cut the base and it chipped after

It's not ok for the plating to freely separate from the base metal. A flake here or there can be forgiven, when it becomes the norm, or it can be easily repeated, it's a manufacturing problem.

I hope mine are holding up better than that! No issues running it so far, and I milled more Hickory with it today.
