When all the priming and pulling 017 gets nothing but a short burst.

I tried three different carbs on this 017 but none would run. Carb not passing fuel or impulse stopped up or major crankcase leak.

So to force feed fuel I used a plastic ketchup bottle and a couple sections of fuel line. The bungee cord holds it in place and gives the bottle a squeeze.

Damn thing runs now.[emoji106]

Hooking the tank line back up it ran and died.

That tells me I have an impulse passage problem.

Speaking of the fuel filter:
I used the rig to apply suckage to the tank line/filter.

It seems my aftermarket filter is junk!!
Swapped in another and my ketchup bottle pulls fuel.[emoji108]

That rig is going to save wear and tare on this geezer.

Use it to prime/purge fuel systems to get them running easier. Especially on the larger saws.[emoji108]

I use one of the big ketchup bottles for bar oil and its the cats meow. No more spilling all over the saw.
Really neat trick with the fuel though, thanks for sharing.

Impulse on the 017/018/170/180 pulls off the center passage.
I use a small dab of Yamabond to seal up the unused port afterwards.

Nine bux delivered for the above Walbro clone. Ten minute butcher on the plastics and your good to go.[emoji108]

I think this is the third one I've done.
