Looked over the muffler and made some plans to mod it, and pulled out the tank handle and looked it over. FYI, my fuel line was not installed properly and would have leaked! Also, the control lever seems kinda cheesy! Hopefully if I grease it up enough, it will work for a while!

So instead of just sanding those bevels by hand, I modified a paint stirrer, just cut the corner off at 45 degrees and put that on the sand paper. A lot easier to reach deep with it, your fingers don't hurt, and you can press harder and get it done faster. At least it works well for the top bevel.

.005 wont change the intake at all .......... it'll have the most effect on them transferrs, and allow you to get BD to 21-22, plus it'll tighten up the squish some.

Thanks for the advice, but I just sanded the base enough to remove the finish and provide a clean, level surface. I would rather stay in class one, and I think the #s are OK.

Made some decent progress today, it is starting to look like a saw, but like others I had to grind the Cross name off the cylinder to clear the flywheel on the AM 660.

My intake is not perfect, but it no longer restricts the flow out of the boot like it did to begin with: (before & after pics)

Also opened up the baffle and the muffler: We had a power outage this morning, so I took them outside and used my battery powered tools.
