Lots of trees down and damaged the other night here. They confirmed a micro burst. Got this locust off neighbors property that I take care of.

Nice wood there @Wood Chopper .
As Jeff said be careful, storm damage can have some odd pressures/tensions. Stuff like that hanger have a tendency to make us give all our attention to that one area, and while its obvious we need to pay attention to it we also need to pay attention to whatever else we are doing too.
If you can rope the lower portion of that hanger and pull it down with the tractor that would be great and keep you out of the zone.
Good to have an extra set of eyes to keep watch on stuff also.
Hope everyone is alright, lots of storms this yr it seems.

Thanks guys. There is so much stuff on the ground already that I haven’t even got to the standing damaged trees yet.

This was in my neighbors yard. I took one down like it last year and the other neighbors yard that I’m friends with. This guys brother-in-law is taking the wood. Silver maple

Bet you that trees only 60 years old or so. They grow fast and rot fast. Be surprised if it wasn’t hollow. Not a good choice to plant near your house lol. Should get a lot of firewood outta that big one!

I have no idea what they are going to do with the stump. @huskyboy the other one i cut down was solid but they are such soft trees. I am shocked that the root system is not bigger. Looks like the roots were rotting. Its right next to their diveaway (pictured) and the road behind it and they didn't budge because there were no roots
