Made some progress last Saturday. I probably get back to it until after thanksgiving.

Spent a couple hours helping my Mom today...... yeah, that's right, helping my 70yr old Mom cut up some pine..lol.

She had an area off one of her small pastures densely populated with pine. She wanted them gone to expand her pasture. I wouldn't imagine too many folks can say they spent the afternoon cutting firewood with their 70yr old Mom...haha.

She digs chainsaws, & cutting her own firewood. She literally cuts, & splits all of her own, & has for years. She normally doesn't let me help, as she likes to do it herself. However, this is a little bigger job than she can handle by herself.

A buddy of mine burns pine in his OWB so, he's been taking most of the wood. I prefer hardwoods but, will burn a little pine mixed in with the good stuff in my OWB.

I did make one mistake today though........ I let her cut a few blocks with my 353. A 353 that Mastermind worked his magic on a few years ago. She REALLY liked it...hahahaha. Her Lowes special 455 Rancher didn't feel the same after. She couldn't believe how my "little saw" cut circles around hers. I just smiled.

I am not sure. A small Hooskie that can be ported. 40cc may be? I really don't know my Hooskies, so.....
I don't think there's a good one in a rear handle, that's why I have the ported 241, great little saw and when you calculate the time saved because of the fuel economy it beats the 346 in smaller wood. But I still prefer to run the 346 for handling and a bit larger wood.
A cheaper alternative would be the Makita 4300, @Miller Mod Saws could hook him right up, I'm sure she would enjoy that even in stock form with the 455 for the larger wood.

Nice! Matching trucks too. [emoji106]
Stops there though.... he's a stihl guy 100%. He runs a 290 like most everybody I know. I basically have 3 buddies I cut firewood with. All 3 of em are Stihl 290 guys. They used to talk a lot of *s-word about my 353. Once I got it back from Mastermind, that stopped.... :risas3:

I've never told em I had my saw beefed up. It's been absolutely hilarious for the last few years. At first they were buying new chains, cleaning their saws real good, buying high octane gas, etc.... Now they're all used to my little husky out cutting them..lol. Wait till they get a load of the MM 562 coming soon..! HAHAHAHAHA

Here's the stuff that's hit the ground around here over the last few years, whether by me or weather or whatever. Some of these trees are still being processed - and we have 5 houses to feed wood to:

Had to open the gate for it here:

Literally my first day in work on the estate here in Waterford, Ireland - this road bisects the estate:
