Stay safe out there... The ash are becoming downright wicked down here. Also a sign it won't be long and there will no longer be much good firewood left in them. Getting punky and randomly snapping at various heights along the trunk.

I know this is small fry stuff right here, but it was lying in a ditch down from my Pa's house deep in the country.
Hard for me to let any black locust escape...the other is some rejected pecan and hickory pieces from my brothers smoker.
There was a 10ft locust log I'll get on my return trip...if its still available.
Its hard to find black locust around here.:llorona:
My truck bed was loaded with suitcases & fishing gear.:(
About 8 hrs of burn time...the way I figure it!

Black locust of any amount is not something to be passed up. Just don't put it all in the firebox at once!(Or mix it with just osage)

Girls helped to restock this stack yesterday. Now, to let it bake in the southwestern sun for 6 months. Will be good to go in the fall. Western Larch and Doug Fir. Stuffed the fire box full of primo Larch cookies this AM. Turned my back for 10 min and the top was starting to glow.
