Here's a couple piles I started blocking up last Sun and finished today.
I'll take the tractor/FEL up the hill tomorrow, to get things consolidated and start splitting. I was wishing I'd taken the tractor up today. Some of that stuff was getting heavy............especially at the end of the day.
Cutting and splitting is enjoyable. Moving and stacking sucks.

Nice looking load. I hope the blue thing in the picture lifted those rounds into the trailer. They look kinda hefty.

I used a trailer like that. I rolled the big rounds on and off. Never had to lift them. Lol

I think I started the back cut a little to high....

It was getting my heart rate up some...there is just something about wedging over a tree that could fall into your house that gets the nerves going....

I could just tell that somewere the boss was looking out the window at me LOL!!!

I love the feeling of wedging a tree over. However, that close to a structure... some cheap 3 strand rigging line is cheap insurance!

Feel free to throw in a continuous run rope puller for added fun and safety, and the heavy leaners where wedges alone may not cut it.

Check out the rings in this limb wood out of a pinn oak. I cut a slab out and gave it to the wife for V-day last year

Yep I have a trailer with a ramp and when dealing with big rounds I roll them up the ramp. It is that or noodle them up small enough to lift.
