I think about 80% of this score is shag bark hickory, with some red and white oak mixed in. I’m going to be burning “high on the hog” in 3/4 years from now.

Went cutting for the old lady that lives on the farm across from mine. She is in her seventy’s and a widow. Her nephew and I cut two hedge apples before it got dark. It was fun only had one saw malfunction, the Oiler on my super ez stopped oiling.

This is the 4th trailer and truck load this week from a honey hole that a local guy that is on FHC told me about. The only part that sucks is the hand loading by myself! The 346, MMWS 357, and 372xp's will get a little work out on Friday.

Finished splitting all my rounds today. I ran out of room! I’m going to have to move some inside to make space for the green stuff. Bout 5cords worth.

Have some split and stacked firewood for next winter (red squares) and started processing firewood for the winter after that.


Will try and get another load of oak firewood logs as soon as possible, have to keep my girls in shape.

So yeah I lost a wheel bearing on a trailer very similar to that one tonight. I went back with three pickups to get the wood out. Then drug it by hand out into the neighbors field. Very new trailer. I did have too much weight on it. Tires were squated. But the actual nut came off the hub???? Anyhow no pictures but I’ve got that to fix now.

I noodle big pieces all the time....I learned to let the saw do as much work as possible....for all us that have to load wood by hand, it’s hard in the back!!!
