I have a Husqvarna 266SE and 44 combination I really like. Both are used to cut firewood often and were made in the early 1980s. They both have working metal flag chainbrakes.

I also have the Jonsereds 49SP and 70 e combo that others have talked about in this thread. My 49SP has a leak between the oil tank and crankcase that I gave to repair so it's not being used right now.

Really like some of the older saws, the 056 super has the coolest sound of any saw I own but I would say my 254xpg and 394xp would be my two saw plan, can't imagine anything they wouldn't cut, if I had to choose just one it would be a 262xp.

Depends on gow old to be vintage...... If early 80s is then a jonny 625-670 and a husky 50 51 or 55. If thats not old enough then poulan 5200 and poulan/crapsman 2000 would be the team. Maybe throw in a 3400 or 4000 for fun.
