Getting ready to finish up my kit and have a couple questions. First could I perform my vacuum test without removing the card by putting my blockoff plate on the inlet of the carb. Second while looking up on how to tune with the governor I ran into a few threads that recommended eliminating the governor and just tuning to 8K. I appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.

The carb will likely leak around the shafts and give you a false reading.
Tune it to where it cleans up in the cut.

Ok thanks for the reply, are you saying that I should be able to tune it without the governor.

You can tune it without the governor, but you may not need to disable it.
