Farmertec mufflers

anyone use these? Outlet looks pretty small compared to stock. I grabbed one for my 272 as the screw holes on mine are egged pretty bad from rattling loose. (It’s a husky)
Just wondering if anyone is running them stock or if you’re cutting a secondary hole or eliminating the setup and welding in a larger pipe. I am gonna reuse my original one more time. I’m gonna try blue loc tite as I have a tube laying here. Opinions?

Muffler was like 7 dollars from eBay.

I used the same one on a 272xp. It blew apart on the first test cuts. I got it brazed back together and it worked fine. I made a second port under the front suport.

Seems to be a pattern here. I blew the FarmerTec muffler up to smithereens on my 272 as well. The tubes on the inside were knocked all outta whack, so I filled it under G and didn't look back. Went with a different brand.

It had a dual port but still probably not enough opening. It looked like the muffler was glued together.

Could always leave the small one and add a bigger one. Be like the pied piper. lol

I use the hiway ones that look like that. They don't blow apart on a 390. I opened one up once for my logger buddy and ended up putting a stock one back on because it was too loud with a guy running it on the landing while he was loading the truck with the exhaust pointed at him
